FOR LITTLE EYES
1. Adjusting the lengths of the templesAdjust the length of temples so that the ear tips fit closely behind the ears. There should be no gaps.
To shorten the temples remove the ear tips exposing the guidelines (perforations) as illustrated and trim if required. After the ends are cut they must be filed.
If the temples are too short, pull the ear tip backwards to the required position. Fix the tips to the temples by using the screws provided (one screw for each side). Tighten the screw so that the screw head lies flush as shown in the diagram below.

2. Adjusting the position of the nose pad
There are 3 sets of holes to fix the nose pad onto the frame
front (5 holes on the TBAC baby frames). The nose pad is fixed on the middle hole at the time of delivery. The nose pad can be unscrewed as an entire unit and moved up or down a hole to gain the correct fit. There are different types and sizes of nose pads that can be used on Tomato Glasses. Smaller frames (up to 40x14) come with a one piece nose pad and the larger frames come with different sized split nose pads. All can be interchanged to help with fitting. |

Cleaning Tomato Glasses frames
Use only water and a mild detergent to clean Tomato Glasses frames. Solvents should not be used on Tomato Glasses as they are made from TR90 material. A care leaflet is provided with each frame to pass to the customer to ensure the frames are cared for correctly. Replacement parts
Over time the frame tips may stretch. In this case, either replace the tips with those provided within the pack or move the ear tips in a hole and secure in place with the screws [see step 1 of fitting guide]. |
Nose Pad Fitting Kit
Further research has indicated the need to cater for a variety of nose shapes. We have therefore developed a range of different sized nose pads, Baby fit (B1, B2, B3), Asian fit (A1, A2, A3) and Wide fit (W1, W2, W3). All nose pads are interchangeable on frames and the fitting kit stores all nine sizes of nose pad. This kit will allow optometrists and opticians to custom fit the frames to each child therefore offering the best customer service.
Our Research and Development team have created a Spacer Kit. It is designed to create space between the lenses and a child’s eyelashes or face when using high powered lenses. |
